The eye surgeon operates the laser machines, which create all of the cutting. A flap is cut in the cornea using a laser or blade. Afterwards, an excimer laser remodels the cornea. The laser vaporizes tissue without creating harm to the eye. Although usually uncommon, complications might occur with LASIK or any type of eye surgeries. A few of of the more regularly reported complications of LASIK typically include: infection, light sensitive and dry eyes, over or under correction, fluctuating vision, starbursts or halos around lights, double vision, and problems with the flap created during the surgical procedure.
