Welcome to our site about lasik with lazy eye
LASIK is a form of laser-guided eye surgery designed to repair disorders with vision. The surgery is carried out by ophthalmologists, who are mDs who specialize in diseases and disorders of the eye. LASIK is typically preferable to pRK eye surgery, as it is not as painful and requires less time for full recovery. Prior to LASIK eye surgery, the patient's corneas are analyzed with a computer controlled scanning device and it makes a map of the cornea. This procedure also discovers astigmatism or additional problems in the shape of the cornea. The surgeon uses this data to compute the location and amount of corneal material to be eliminated during the surgery. The surgery is carried out while the person is awake and functional, still, the patient is usually given a modest sedating medication and anesthetic drops for the eyes. The surgeon operates the laser machines, which make all of the cutting. A flap is sliced in the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye, using a blade or laser. And then, an excimer laser remodels the cornea. The laser destroys tissue without creating injury to the eye. Although relatively uncommon, complications could occur with LASIK or any method of eye surgeries. Some of the more regularly reported complications of LASIK include: infection, dry eyes and light sensitive eyes, under or over correction, fluctuations in vision, starbursts or halos around lights, double vision, and difficulties with the flap that was produced during the surgical procedure. Although LASIK technology is getting better quickly, clinical studies have not defined long-term or permanent complications. The lASIK procedure is irreversible.
