Welcome. Here is a site about lasek slow healing
LASIK is a form of laser surgery to the eye meant to remedy disorders with eyesight. The surgery is performed by ophthalmologists, who are mDs who specialize in eye problems. LASIK is typically a preferred alternative to pRK eye surgery, as it is less painful and requires less time for healing. Prior to LASIK surgery, the patient's corneas are analyzed with a computer driven scanning device and a map of the cornea is created. This process also detects astigmatism & other irregularities in the cornea's shape. The operating surgeon uses this data to compute the location and amount of corneal tissue to be removed during the operation. The surgery is performed with the patient awake, still, the patient is often given a modest sedating drug and anesthetic drops for the eyes. The surgeon operates the laser machines, which produce all of the incisions. A flap is carved in the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye, using a blade or a laser. Afterwards, an excimer laser remodels the cornea. The laser vaporizes tissue without inducing damage to the eye. Although relatively uncommon, complications or damage could occur with LASIK or non laser forms of eye surgeries. A number of the more frequently reported complications of LASIK can include: infection, dry eyes and light sensitive eyes, over or under correction, changing vision, rings around lights, doubled vision, and disorders with the flap that was made during the operation. Although LASIK technology is improving rapidly, research studies have not completely defined long-term damaging complications. The process cannot be reversed.
