LASIK is a type of laser surgery to the eye designed to improve or correct troubles with sight. Although relatively uncommon, complicating problems can occur with LASIK or other laser or non laser eye surgeries. A number of the more frequently reported complications of LASIK typically include: infection, dry or light sensitive eyes, over or under correction, fluctuating vision, starbursts or halos around lights, double vision, and troubles with the flap that was made during the operation. Although LASIK technology is improving very rapidly, scientists have not ascertained long-term or permanent complications. The process is irreversible.
